| Dr. Arthur D. Anastopoulos |
| Dr. Arthur D. Anastopoulos received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Purdue University. From 1986 until 1995 he held a joint appointment in the Departments of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, where he also worked with Dr. Russell Barkley and served as Chief of the AD/HD Clinic. Dr. Anastopoulos currently is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he directs an AD/HD Clinic for children, adolescents, and adults. An active researcher, Dr. Anastopoulos has been an investigator on several federal and university funded research grants, including a recently awarded 5-year grant to study the genetic basis of AD/HD in collaboration with researchers at Duke University. He regularly presents his findings at national and international scientific meetings, has authored numerous articles and book chapters on the topic of AD/HD, and is the first author on a recently published text entitled, Assessing Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. |
